Regattas
Yukon Breeze Sailing Society hosts several regattas throughout the summer. Informal instruction will be provided. Some key concepts that we will go over include:
Tacking and Jibing; how to roll tack to maintain speed, when to tack or jibe.
Understanding wind shifts.
Mark roundings; how to make a clean fast mark rounding. How to use your weight to steer the boat.
Start line; how to get your best start.
Racers will be in two person Flying Juniors (FJ's), one person Lasers, Optis, or you can bring your own boat.
No previous racing experience is required. However you do need some previous sailing experience for the regattas.

Drop in cost: $35 ($25 if you bring your own boat)
This cost includes 3 facilitated races and a lunch social
Pre-registration: We encourage everyone to pre-register for the regatta. We cannot guarantee spots for the regatta the day of.
